Costuming Never Ends

Written January 30, 2010 and tagged as Newscomments(3 comments)

The holidays are over, Beau Jest is up, and for the most part sold out…it is SO funny, and Guys and Dolls is looking great. So we’ve caught our breath and have had time to do a little organizing in the costume shop. As we’ve done so, we’ve been really pleased to see how many very nice things you have donated to the theater. We thank you so much and hope that you have seen some of them used on stage. Right now we’re looking ahead to costuming the 1940’s era play, Born Yesterday. It will be fun to look through and see how many double breasted suits and 40’s dresses have come in. Hopefully we’ll have enough, but just in case, if you have anything of that period still hanging in your closet and want to see them put to use again, we’d be happy to have you drop them off at the theater.

We want to thank you, too, for being such good patrons, of course the theater couldn’t run without you so know how much we appreciate your attendance.

I have a beautiful red velvet dress long with a slight train in the back. I will never wear it again so wonder if it would be of interest to you. It is a dressy gown but very classic in design. Could be a period dress for the 1940’s glamor set.

If you are interested, tell us where to take it. If we come to the 13th Beau Jest can we bring it then?

Thank you for your theater, we would be happy to contribute as we so enjoy your venue. Keep up the good work.

    Regards, Monica Parker
