Damn Yankees | Musical
May 23 - Jun 29 2013
Winner of seven Tony Awards, Damn Yankees is the musical retelling of the Faust tale. Set in the 1950s, when the New York Yankees dominated baseball, a middle-aged, long-suffering fan of the pathetic Washington Senators trades his soul to the Devil. He becomes young Joe Hardy, the powerful hitter who can lead the Senators to victory. As the team gets closer to the long-awaited victory, Joe realizes how much he misses his wife and his life. Filled with songs such as “You Gotta Have Heart,” and “Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets” this musical comedy scores a hit with both those who love, and those who hate, sports.
