CAMBRIAN JAMES
Director / Choreographer

Last seen as Daddy Warbucks in Hale Theatre’s production of Annie, Cambrian is excited to return as Director and Choreographer for Damn Yankees! Cambrian James is an American actor, dancer, director and award-winning choreographer. As an actor and dancer, Cambrian has performed in theatres in southern California as well as in national tours. For the past decade Cambrian has become a successful choreographer notable for his versatile staging in traditional theatre settings. Cambrian recently starred in Crazy For You here at Hale and has won numerous ariZoni awards including Choreography and Hair and Makeup Design. Cambrian directs and choreographs at numerous theatres throughout the Valley, including Desert Stages and Valley Youth Theatre.  Cambrian would like to thank Dave, Corrin, Lincoln, and Laszlo.

LINCOLN WRIGHT
Music Director

Lincoln is a native of Mesa, Arizona, and is enthused to be back at Hale after performing in this years production of The Secret Garden.  Since 2001, he has taught the musical theatre workshop in the Scottsdale Conservatory Theatre summer program; he also serves as the company pianist for Ballet Etudes.  He has composed music for several productions, including Southwest Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest, and Two Gentlemen of Verona, for which he won an AriZoni award for best original music.  Recent performances as pianist include Forbidden Broadway, Footloose and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, and he served as music director for Hale’s Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.  Although the arts world beckons, he’s kept his day job as an attorney at Udall, Shumway & Lyons in Mesa, handling personal injury and nursing home abuse cases.  Much love to Mom, Dad, and the sibs for their tireless support.

STEPHEN SERNA
Young Joe Hardy

Stephen is very excited to be working at Hale for the first time with such a talented cast, especially his dear friend, Heather Fallon! Stephen’s most recent credits include Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard, Cinderella’s Prince in Into The Woods, Luke in Altar Boyz, Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun at Desert Stages Theatre, and Danny McGuire in Xanadu at Fountain Hills Community Theater, for which he received an AriZoni nomination for Best Supporting Actor.  This summer, Stephen has been asked to return as a contestant in Dancing with the Bars All Stars, a charitable ballroom dancing competition hosted by Sway Events (www.swayevents.com).  Stephen would like to thank his friends Chris and Tim for all the laughs and support over the years, and he especially thanks his best friend, Matty, to whom he dedicates this performance.

MARK KLEINMAN
Old Joe / Comissioner

Mark is an AriZoni Award winner, is excited to return to the stage at the Hale Theatre where he was recently seen as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol and Emile DeBecque in South Pacific.  Mark has performed extensively in Operatic, Musical Theater, and Dramatic repertory around the world.  His diverse roles include Rodolfo in La Boheme, Faust in Faust , The Witch in Hansel und Gretel, Governor Johnson in Blackbeard, The Beast in Beauty and the Beast, Lt. Joe Cable and Emile de Becque in South Pacific, Capt. Von Trapp in the Sound of Music, Archie in The Secret Garden, Harold Hill in The Music Man, Fred in A Christmas Carol, Jacob in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The King in Cinderella, and Detective Sergeant Porterhouse in Run For Your WifeMark also recently voiced “The King” in Amazon Studios’ grand prize-winning test film, 12 Princesses and was a semi-finalist for Amazon Studios Best Actor Award.  Mark is thrilled to be performing in this production and sends many thanks to the Dietlein family and to his family and friends for their love and support.

EMILY GIAUQUE EVANS

BRYAN STEWART
Mr. Applegate

Bryan is excited to be returning to the Hale Centre Theatre for his second show this season. You may remember seeing him as Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden. More recently Bryan played the role of The Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance with MCC’s Act I Productions. He received his Bachelor Degree in Music Theatre Performance for Arizona State University. While Bryan is not playing around on stage he is busy running his Pool business and chasing after his for children Abby, Jacob, Jared and Marcus. Thanks to my wife Deb for holding down the fort


KATE E. COOK

Kate E. Cook is 19 years old and studies Music Theatre at MCC. Kate is a veteran to Hale Theatre and was last seen as Female Actress in The Hit.  Kate was also recently seen in MCC’s My Favorite Year as Alice Miller(Irene Ryan Scholarship Nominee). Some of her favorite roles include Belle(Beauty and the Beast), Adelaide(Guys and Dolls) and Philia(A Funny Thing….Forum). Kate is very excited to be back at the Hale! Thanks to Kevin, Dave and Corrin and the entire cast and crew! Enjoy!
 

HEATHER FALLON

Heather is delighted to be doing her first show at Hale, and honored to be included in this fantastic cast! She is especially excited to be playing opposite her BFF, Stephen Serna.  Heather’s favorite roles include Joanne in Company at Desert Foothills Theatre, Jack’s Mother in Into The Woods at Desert Stages Theatre, and Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in The Music Man at Mesa Encore Theatre (MET Best Supporting Actress Award).  Other shows include Next To Normal (ensemble, Diana u/s) and Ragtime (Kathleen/Brigit, ensemble) at MET, Parade (Lizzie/ensemble) at Theater Works, and Amadeus (Venticelli) at Fountain Hills Theater.  Heather would like to gratefully thank Cambrian for this experience, and she dedicates this performance to her unfailingly supportive husband, Tony Jurewicz, who will be spending their Five Year Wedding Anniversary in a comfy seat on opening night at the Hale Theater, happily watching her live her dreams.

HAROLD LEBOYER

Harold is pleased to be making his debut with HCT. Recent shows include Sherlock Holmes:The Final Adventure (Dr. Watson), Drowsy Charperone (Underling), The Matchmaker (Horace), Charley’s Aunt (Mr. Spettigue), Anything Goes (Evelyn), The Christmas Schooner (Gustav), My Fair Lady (Pickering) and The Visit (Anton Schill). Favorite roles include Howard in Picnic, Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd, Roat in Wait Until Dark and Noah in The Rainmaker.
 

HEIDI CARPENTER

Heidi is excited to be making her HCT debut!  At Glendale Centre Theatre in CA she has appeared in Pillow Talk (Miss Conrad) and She Loves Me.  Here in AZ she was most recently seen as Gabriella in Boeing Boeing and as Susan in The Full Monty at Fountain Hills Theater, as well as Elaine in Last of the Red Hot Lovers at Desert Stages Theatre.  Thanks to Cambrian and kisses to Jeff and Christopher!



MEGAN POWER

Megan is ecstatic to make her Hale debut! She was recently seen as Tracy in MET’s Hairspray (AriZoni nomination). Favorite credits include Penelope Pennywise (Urinetown/ASU), Mom/other roles (Unstoppable Me!/PTCCo.), Ferris the Tooth Fairy (Seasons/MET), and Martha Cox (High School Musical/VYT). Megan would like to thank her family and friends for their continual love and support, and her amazing fiancé—Tim—for always being there. She can’t wait to marry him this Fall!
 
 
DANNY KARAPETIAN

Danny is excited to mark his return to Hale for his tenth production. Recent credits include Day Dreaming (web series, Clever Girl Productions), Devoured (feature film, Telluride Horror Festival), and Sweet Deception (short film), all shot in New York City. He music directed the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts’ cabaret Our Passion is our Strength in 2010. Other credits include an Angel in the Off-Off-Broadway original play Between Two Worlds (Wallis Knot Theatre, NYC), Jack in Charley’s Aunt (Hale Centre Theatre), Bill in Kiss Me Kate (Tempe Little Theatre), and Willard in Footloose (HCT, AriZoni nomination). Currently, Danny is also acting in the independent film The Days Never Know. Danny graduated from NYCDA in 2011 with a certificate in film, television and theatre. He thanks his family, friends new and old, and the cast and crew of this awesome show.

CODY DUKE

Cody is thrilled to be making his Hale Theatre debut! He is 19 years old and studies Music Theatre at MCC. Recent credits include Pirates of Penzance (Pirate/Police) at MCC and Sunset Boulevard (John) at Desert Stages. ROCHELLE BARTON

Rochelle is very excited to once again join the Hale Centre Theatre family.  Rochelle is a veteran to the stage and has performed professionally in NYC, Regional Theatres and National Tours.  She is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.  Currently she performs with EVMCO.  Love to her husband, Tyler, and two biggest accomplishments, Brody and Lilah


 
JULIAN-SEBASTIAN PENA

Julian is excited to make his Hale theater debut! Julian is a ZONI nominated full time performer. He has been seen on many stages with Phoenix Metropolitan Opera, Arizona Broadway Theater, Book no Book Productions, Mesa Encore Theater, Desert Stages Theater, Scottsdale Musical Theater Company, and both CGCC and SCC.  Julian has toured with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix, and sang with Spire Chorus.  He won 1st place in the Artist of promise Competition for Musical Theater and 3rd place for Classical.“I couldn’t be more thankful for my family and friends and their unfailing love and support.”.

KIMBERLY SHEPERD

Kimberly is excited to be back at Hale after appearing in Annie Lily St. Regis and in Crazy For You as Patsy and Polly’s U/S.  She is currently a senior at Arizona State University majoring in Film and Media. Favorite credits include Seussical, Footloose, Cats, Lucky Stiff and Food!
 



STEPHEN HERSACK

Stephen is excited to be making his Hale debut! He recently moved to the Phoenix area, after earning his BFA in Theatre Performance from Baylor University in Waco, TX last May. He was recently a part of the Write Now new works festival at Childsplay, where he played Daniel in Bloom. His other Phoenix valley credits include ASM for Class 6 Theatre’s Comedy of Errors and a carpenter for Theater Works’ Avenue Q Jr.



MONICA DOMSCHOT

Monica is thrilled to be making her Hale Centre Theatre debut with Damn Yankees! Recent theatre credits include Lyric Opera Theatre’s Little Women (Ensemble/Dance Captain), Bat Boy: The Musical (Ensemble), and Cabaret (Helga/Gorilla), as well as Mesa Encore Theatre’s Hairspray (Brenda, U/S Penny). A junior at Arizona State University, Monica is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance. Many thanks to Cambrian, Lincoln, David, and Corrin!


BAYLOR SEZATE

Baylor is grateful and elated to be returning to the Hale Theatre once again after performing in last summers Bye, Bye Birdie.  A junior in the accountancy program at ASU, Baylor performs any chance he can.  HUGE thanks to Cambrian, Lincoln and Dave for giving him this amazing opportunity. BRIAN HANNA

Brian recently ended a twenty-two year hiatus from acting to play a pirate in MCC’s Pirates of Penzance and he is jazzed to be performing at the Hale Theatre.  He has also traveled the stage as an undertaker and a jet, and hopes you enjoy his journey as a baseball player.  Brian thanks Cambrian, Dave, and Lincoln for taking a chance on him.  Most importantly, he thanks his gorgeous wife
